St Oswalds

Welcome

to St Oswald's Church, in the Parish of Methley with Mickletown

During the current situation with regard to the corona virus, along with all other churches in the Church of England we have suspended services in church.  We will be providing a range of virtual services and live video feeds via our Facebook page - please follow that page for more information.

St Oswald's welcomes all.  We seek to be a fully inclusive church that does not discriminate on grounds of economic power, gender, age, mental health, physical ability, race, or sexuality.  In the name of Jesus Christ our church is here to serve all His people, and we hope you will find a warm welcome in our church and on this website.

We are an open-minded, welcoming, hospitable and family friendly community with a heart for God. Do explore our website to find out more about how our faith in Christ is helping us support our community.

Christian communities should be places where all people feel welcomed, respected, and safe from abuse.  This Church is committed to encouraging an environment where all people, and especially those who may be vulnerable for any reason, are able to worship and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.  To this end we have adopted the House of Bishops' policy for safeguarding "Promoting a safer church".  A summary of our commitments, and a copy of the resolution passed by the Parochial Church Council, is shown below:
